Suspended Animation is a group of kinksters dedicated to suspension bondage. We run a large camp at Burning Man, perform, and instigate a variety of shenanigans. We’re known for our rigorous approach to safety and technical excellence.

What does Suspended Animation do?

• We run a Burning Man camp and sometimes go to other burner events like Critical Massive and Seacompression.
• We perform and offer bondage experiences at events like the Seattle Erotic Art Festival.
• We make mischief.

How does Suspended Animation work?

Formally, Suspended Animation LLC is a Washington state corporation. We are technically a for-profit corporation, although we consistently operate at a loss. We are run as a benevolent dictatorship by the camp imperators, Scout, Devi, and Zang.

In practice, we operate as something of a do-ocracy: many of our projects were started and run by individual crew members who took it upon themselves to make something cool happen.

We have more than 100 members, but cap our annual Burning Man crew at 35 people.

Classes

In January of 2018, Suspended Animation’s education branch became a separate organization, Full Circle Kink. The two organizations remain closely affiliated.

Suspended Animation continues to teach classes at Burning Man, but Full Circle now teaches all of SA’s former classes outside Black Rock City.
